Our Catering Managers are a crucial support to our record-breaking Catering team. They are key to the day to day running and on-going development of our team whilst promoting the delivery of great customer experience.
In this role you will support the Catering Operation Supervisors in leading their teams of up 62 Onboard Customer Service Assistants and assist with recruitment, retention, management, and development of the Catering team.
You’ll ensure the department complies with all relevant HACCP procedures and legislation, following best practice principals to deliver a consistent standard of world class customer service; you’ll work alongside the other Catering Managers, identifying training requirements to ensure the team have development opportunities and coordinate support for catering management team including shift cover.
We’re looking for someone with previous relevant experience from a catering or hospitality background, who has managed large teams. You’ll have a proven ability to manage complex sales operations with measured success and be positive with a passionate focus on food and a natural flare for hospitality.
A natural leader with the ability to inspire operational teams to deliver results; you have experience in leading and implementing change programmes to deliver operational benefits.
Whilst demonstrating flexibility and agility; you’ll have a calm and structured approach, coupled with resilience and problem-solving skills; and have experience of technical systems management and troubleshooting: including Tills, associated equipment, and maintenance of hardware.
And you won’t mind working outdoors or being on your feet all day. This job can be very demanding, so you need to be able to ensure you and your team smile and maintain high standards throughout the day.
We’ll give you all the training you need regarding our systems as well as a thorough induction on how we work at Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, so you will be set up for success.
Where: You’ll have a desk in our office at North Greenwich and can book a desk at our head office at Trinity Buoy Wharf but will be expected to travel on our boats in order to support the Catering team whilst they work.
