Reporting to: Marine Manager
Grade: 10
Salary: starting at £25,929 per annum plus a 10% operational allowance (£2592.90)
Base: Denton Wharf, Gravesend
Closing date: 30 June 2022
Interview date: 13 & 14 July 2022

The Port of London Authority is the statutory harbour authority for the tidal Thames.

The Marine Services Department are seeking positive and flexible individuals to work on a range of Marine Service vessels to support operations. Duties that are carried out by the department include overhauling moorings, oil spill duties, salvage and diving, debris and obstruction removal, general deckhand routines, craft maintenance and cleaning.

Relevant marine and/or river experience is desirable and ideally candidates will already possess or be working towards a Boatmasters Licence, although specific training will be provided.

Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills as you will be required to deal with members of the public. You will hold a current full driving licence and be physically fit.
