Job title: Senior Planning Officer
Team: Planning

Reporting to: Deputy Director of Planning and Development
Salary: starting at £54,401 per annum
Base: Hybrid Working, with Office Base in Gravesend, Kent
Closing date: 28 October 2022
Interview date: Week commencing 7 November 2022

The Port of London Authority is the UK’s largest port, responsible for 95 miles of the tidal Thames from Teddington out to the North Sea. The Planning and Development Department at the Port of London Authority works with central and regional government, riparian local authorities, the commercial sector and a wide range of other stakeholders to promote the Authority and the Port of London’s planning agenda for the River Thames, including the implementation of the recently launched Thames Vision 2050.

We are now seeking a motivated professional planner to expand the team and to deal with an increasing workload. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a chartered planner with deep and extensive experience in all areas of planning work and will also have excellent negotiating and communication skills, be administratively self-starting and highly computer literate.

Experience in dealing with NSIP’s, master-planning and/or Biodiversity Net Gain would be beneficial.
