Who we are:

The Port of London Authority is the statutory harbour authority for the tidal Thames and responsible for 95 miles of the River Thames from the Estuary to Teddington Lock in West London. We work to keep river users safe, protect and enhance the environment and promote the use of the river for trade and travel.

The Chief Harbour Masters department are responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the Port of London Authority. They manage vessel traffic, enforce navigational regulations and ensure the overall safety and security of the port.

The role:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analysing data, updating, maintaining and recommending improvements to our systems and processes and you will provide timely support in case of river-related issues or emergencies. You will provide a full administrative service to the Harbour Master’s team in terms of supporting activities, such as diary management, taking minutes for meetings and maintaining reminders for controller document updates and be comfortable in providing good quality first line support to your colleagues and managers.

What we are looking for:

You will have an eye for detail and have a suitable level of literacy and numeracy for the role, as well as being competent using the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products. You must be self-motivated and be able to work cohesively as part of a team. You will be a strategic thinker and a problem solver who is able to work under pressure.
